Alpaca
We have a group of alpaca that have retired from an alpaca walking business, they are all males over 8 years of age, but do still get out and about with our Animal Welfare and Science students, and because they have been well handled during their careers it makes them ideal for our students to learn with. Alpaca have amazing eyesight, making them great guard animals, you may hear their gentle hum as they communicate with each other, you may also see subtle ear, tail and posture movements – all part of their complex communication.
Our group are all white (under the mud) making them look the same from a distance, but they all have individual personalities, faces, and body shapes making them identifiable. To learn more about them why not adopt them, with packages available from £15, making an ideal gift. Please email animalpark@kmc.ac.uk for more information.
